The next generation SBS-H2 Hydrogen Gas Detector System incorporates innovative sensor design with enhanced mechanical and visual safety features to provide the most comprehensive hydrogen monitoring and detection system on the market.
The second generation SBS-H2 hydrogen gas detector system offers increased sensor reliability with new features that assist in maintaining acceptable hydrogen gas levels and complying with NFPA 70E® and IEEE recommendations.
The system comes complete with a main display, highly accurate hydrogen gas sensor and 25 ft. cable. This unit can be powered with either AC or DC power and can be mounted directly to a wall or to an electrical box, making it extremely versatile and user friendly.
The SBS-H2 includes two relays for remote connection to alarm/monitoring systems and for control of external relays or an exhaust fan. The 1% Warning relay can be wired to initiate an exhaust fan when 1% (25% LEL) hydrogen is detected. The 2% Alarm relay can be linked to an alarm system when 2% (50% LEL) is detected.
New features include the ability to attach three sensors to one SBS-H2 enclosure for increased monitoring coverage, a strobe LED for visual alarm when 2% hydrogen is detected, an individual sensor LED to indicate which area of the room the hydrogen gas is collecting, and increased sensor reliability.
The SBS-H2 hydrogen gas detector is ideal for substations, battery rooms, UPS systems, battery cabinets, battery warehouse charging areas and hydrogen fueled back-up power systems.
“This unit was completely re-engineered with increased customer safety as our primary goal. The SBS-H2 now has the ability to monitor a third sensor for increased room coverage, a strobe for visual notification of hydrogen build up, and each sensor port now has an LED indicator to notify the end user where hydrogen has collected,” says Josh Cirillo, Manager – Testing and Monitoring Division. “Also, we are proud to say that this unit is designed, engineered and manufactured in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.”
